Email to Cherry Wilson and Sharing the
Vision, June 22, 2007 To all: The cob colt I sent to NC, very sucked up and tired from a LONG trip to NC. His name is Casmaran Contraband, call name Jackie. He is out of Menai Elena and by Windcrest Desert Storm. This is his first turn out down there, not great pictures but wanted to post anyway. I figured out how to use my camera and laptop yesterday so be prepared for many candid shots of the critters! hope everyone is doing well. Sara ~~~~~~~~~~~ Sara, GORGEOUS, simply GORGEOUS! He is sooo pony in type, perfectly beautiful conformation, he is something. You can tell the new owners, at least ONE judge LOVES him! Puts many of the current 'fad' winners to shame. Something to really be proud of. I have already told Sara what I think, but a good chance for all of you to STUDY conformation- --I think he is nothing short of FABULOUS! Check out his neck: short from throatlatch to point of shoulder (bottom), long from ear to wither (top), which does what? MAKES the shoulder long and laid down. Mid section: back is very very short, and girth is deep. Loin: although drawn up from a long ride, etc. the loin (on top just before croup) is high and convex, as it should be. The CONNECTION, or if you will 'transmission' , is strong. This animal has a perfect hip: long both horizontally and vertically, in other words, a deep hip. His croup is long and tail set is high. He has ROUND hoofs and nostrils, the right length and slope to pasterns, according to the standard. Last but surely not least, this is a PONY TYPE animal, with a PONY head, character and expression. Sara and Denise, one to be proud of and as you KNOW I do not pass out compliments easily. (Welsh Judge - all sections) Cherry Wilson, Bristol Welsh Ponies |

“Jack” was a September 2005 foal, he has beautiful conformation, Welsh type, excellent big movement with push from behind, and is still growing and filling out. His disposition is wonderful, he is stalled and pastured next to pony and cob mares and respects the pasture fencing even when the mares are in heat. His sire is a ‘Champion of Champion’ qualifier and an International Champion. His dam is an imported 15.2h mare. His bloodlines are foundation and cannot be duplicated close up. |
